The U.S Army is trying it’s hand in esports with over 8 bases competing in a Street Fighter 5 tournament. This 'first of its kind' tournament is set to be live streamed and allows any active-duty service members to compete.
At Saigon Cup 2018, I was able to talk fighting games with the one and only Core-A Gaming. His insight and vast bank of knowledge on all fighting games really allowed me to piece together some concepts and interesting ideas and theories. Not only was did he explain the ins and outs of the meta that was being played out on screen in front of me, he was also willing to help me translate Jeondding’s interview. A talented and passionate member of the FGC, it was a pleasure to have interviewed him.

Following the results of the first stop of 2018’s Tekken World Tour event, we saw ROX | KNEE take the win using an unlikely character. We haven’t seen Knee use ‘Devil Jin’ at a high level since Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and it has been almost forever since we have seen him win with ‘Devil Jin’. Perhaps Knee was inspired by his former teammate UYU | QUDANS or perhaps he just decided to adopt a new character for recent tournaments. Either way there were some very significant differences in playstyle between Knee and Qudans.

After waiting for what seemed like an eternity for the Final Fantasy XV announcements to finish, we were greeted with some in game footage of Noctis and a showcase of some of his moves that have not been previously seen.
