Two more players advanced today with the conclusion of the WCS Europe Season 2 Premier League round of 16. Some of the world’s best Protoss players, namely ToD, MC and Welmu, found themselves facing off against each other and also former one-time Intel Extreme Masters World Champion and Terran powerhouse YoDa.

A Finn on the finish line

Only yesterday, Welmu said of his group that they would be “easy wins”. However, what then may have sounded like empty banter turned out to be very close to the truth. Welmu made his games against two top Koreans - YoDa and MC - look easy, defeating both of them 2-0 to advance to the playoffs as the first in Group B.

The Bosstoss returns to defend his title

Though having been defeated by Welmu in the winner’s match of Group B, MC made an incredible showing once again here at the WCS Europe round of 16, defeating both ToD and then YoDa to make it to the playoffs, where the Bosstoss is surely looking to defend his title.
