Germany: Can mousesports' new lineup score?
Germany is one of the regions still waiting for the old, glorious times in Counter-Strike to come back. Having a big set of teams able to compete on an international level, there is still no international title. In Katowice, this can change, and eight teams will fight for this chance. mousesports, bringing their new lineup to its first big challenge, is somewhat the favorite. However, there are ALTERNATE, 10, Wild Fire and others standing in their way. Can mouz catch up to their past successes?

CIS: Can the Russian teams catch up on Ukraine and Belarus?
Four out of eight teams come from Russia, but the big favorites are the two Ukrainian teams. Na'Vi is the last top 16 team from DreamHack still able to make it in their Regional Finals. On their way to Katowice, they need to take this step first. The toughest opponents standing between them and the EU Qualifier Finals are fellow Ukrainians Faith as well as top Russian teams USSR and Divine. The teams from Belarus who made it in the last two qualifiers also should not be ignored. Who will take the two spots and advance to the EU Finals?
