After four weeks of LCS Europe, the participants have split into two groups. Fnatic, Gambit and Roccat fired up a close and exciting quarrel for the head of the standings. The second category of teams is even closer, with four teams being tied and Millenium straight behind. Under these circumstances, almost all of this week's matches will become six-pointers.
Seven consecutive wins made Fnatic look like a safe bet for Europe's Spring Split champion. However, this all changed with the last three games, which were lost to Gambit, Alliance and Roccat - all teams Fnatic managed to beat decisively before. With SK Gaming and Millenium as opponents, xPeke's team has a fair chance of stopping their downward spiral this week.

Fnatic could follow Roccat's example. The Polish newcomer had to take two tough beatings in week three after a very successful start into the LCS, but came back even stronger last week with a victory over Fnatic. While it seems pretty clear which teams are going to fight for the European Championship, the situation at the standings' bottom half is rather unpredictable. Every single victory will decide if a team will have a shot at defeating the big guys in the playoffs or has to fight for survival against Challenger teams in the Summer Promotion.

Speaking of Challenger teams, the first of two Challenger Series is coming to an end. Today's second to last match is somehow even more important than tomorrow's final between Ninjas in Pyjamas and Cloud 9 Europe as only the top three advance to the second Challenger Series. Again, the remaining five teams will be determined by a play-in with the top ten teams of EU West's as well as EU East's 5vs5 Ladder. Week 5 of LCS Europe kicks off at 19:00 CET today and tomorrow - be sure to tune in at lolesports.com.
