Today, January 8th 2017, the Arena of Stars in the Genting Highlands, Malaysia, saw the best four teams of ESL One Genting concluding the battle for the first place in the tournament and the lion’s share of a US$250,000 prize pool. Two Chinese and two western teams were left in the running: Newbee, Wings Gaming, Virtus.pro and Digital Chaos. After some hard-fought matches, it was Digital Chaos who lifted the coveted ESL One trophy and took the first Dota 2 LAN championship of 2017.
