Formerly known as the Abjured, Astral Authority’s powerhouse roster placed first in North America in Season 1 of the Guild Wars 2 Pro League.

They fell to European champions Rank Fifty Five Dragons in Season 1 and after earning the second North American seed in the upcoming Season 2 Finals, the #AstralArmy will have to beat the reigning champions in their first match to move on in the tournament. We spoke with team captain Seth “Phantaram” Summerlin to get his thoughts on the conclusion of Season 2.

ESL: Thanks for speaking with us, and congrats on making it to the finals! Last season, you came in second overall after coming down to Burbank for the LAN tournaments. How do you feel about coming back for Season 2? 
Phantaram: Last season there was a patch before the finals that shook things up and we are a team that feels much more comfortable knowing all the ins and outs of a patch.  With that said, we feel much better about this season.

ESL: Team PZ swiped your seed in week 7, are you at all intimidated by starting the finals in a battle against Rank 55?
Phantaram: We actually aren't sure who is stronger between Rank 55 and TCG so it’s hard to say whether first or second seed is better. With that said Rank 55 has shown their strength in the past and we won't underestimate them.

ESL: What team do you think will be your biggest competition?
Phantaram: It's really hard to say but if I had to make an educated guess I would say TCG.
