The ESL Heroes of the Storm Championship Katowice, sponsored by Dell and Intel and supported by Blizzard Entertainment, will see eight European team clash over two days. To find that all-important eight, three open qualifiers as well as one last chance qualifier will be held, with the competition kicking off on January 23rd. The top two teams from each round of qualifiers will advance to Katowice and have a shot at the main event’s huge prize pool!
- Open qualifier one: Saturday, January 23rd
- Open qualifier two: Saturday, January 30th
- Open qualifier three: Saturday, February 6th
- Last chance qualifier: Saturday, February 13th (for the remaining top teams from qualifiers)
ESL commentator James “Kaelaris” Carrol had the following to say about the upcoming competition for the European scene:
“The European scene is once again in flux. With a strong showing at BlizzCon last year as both Dignitas and NaVi took top spots, the depth of talent in our region is high. Then, towards the end of the year at DreamHack, we had Fnatic seizing their opportunity in a volatile continent, looking to find the right roster in anticipation of 2016. Now we're here, and there have been roster changes across the board. Almost any top-tier team has a chance to take the prize in the qualifiers as well as the main tournament in Katowice.”
If your team has what it takes, now’s your chance to sign up for the cups on ESL Play and prove it!
We’re looking forwards seeing the best of you in Katowice!
