ESL is happy to announce that the Hearthstone Legendary Series is returning to Katowice with a US$10,000 tournament. Taking place during the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship, the ESL Legendary Series will feature eight top players battling it out in front of the passionate Katowice crowd for glory and their share of the prize pool.
There will be several online qualifiers preceding the tournament in Katowice, which will give players the chance to compete among the best of the best. These are as follows:
- North and South American qualifier
- European qualifiers (including the CIS region)
- Polish qualifier (for Polish representatives only)
The qualifiers begin on January the 23rd and end on February the 15th, when the last finalist will be announced.
Six finalists will be determined through the qualifiers with two more having received direct invitations, making a total of eight Hearthstone Legendary Series Katowice 2016 competitors. The first invited player is Jon “Orange” Westberg, who emerged victorious during the previous Legendary Series tournament in Katowice. The second is Sebastian “Ostkaka” Engwall, the current Hearthstone World Champion who took the trophy at BlizzCon 2015.

The ESL Hearthstone Legendary Series Katowice 2016 will take place at the International Congress Center Katowice on March the 6th, with more information about the online qualifiers available here.
