After seven weeks of intense Gears action, the field of finalists has been decided! EnVyUs, Denial, Notorious, and DreamTeam will travel to Boston for the Gears of War Pro League Season 2 Finals at PAX East on April 23! For those who missed the live Week 7 broadcast, here’s a look at the details.

WEEK 7

DAY 13 DAY 14
DreamTeam 3 – 1 OrbitGG eLevate 3 - 1 Justus
Justus 2 – 3 E6 OrbitGG  3 - 0 EnVyUs
Notorious 1 – 3 EnVyUs DreamTeam 3 – 0 E6
Denial 0 – 3 eLevate Denial 1 – 3 Notorious

Notorious went up against the top two teams this week, with EnVyUs securing the #1 seed early on. Denial and Notorious battled it out for the #2 and #3 seeds on Day 14. Notorious was the first team this season to beat Denial, ending their chances for a repeat of their nearly undefeated Season 1, and they did so again on Thursday, clutching the #2 seed and punching their ticket for the finals with a 3-1 win.

The epic match between DreamTeam and E6 for the last spot in the Season 2 Finals started off with DreamTeam brutally displaying their excellent teamwork, taking the first map 4-0 by catching E6 as they tried to transition out of the water in Canals. DreamTeam’s communication was on point as they quickly took the first three rounds of the second map, Clocktower. E6 countered with three round victories, tying up the map, but DreamTeam won the fourth round, taking the second match point.

The excitement was tangible in Mansion when the teams were tied 3-3 in the last round of the third map, presenting E6 with a dramatic opportunity to turn the tables. However, DreamTeam ended those chances when they took the third map as well and secured their spot in the Finals.
