After an incredible Day 2 of the Call of Duty World League, presented by PlayStation 4, Stage 2 Finals, the Australia / New Zealand Grand Finals matchup is set! Orbit will play Mindfreak on July 16 at 7PM PDT / 10PM EDT to see which team can claim the title of ANZ Stage 2 Champions! Day 2 also saw the final two matches in the North America quarterfinals.
Let’s take a look back what at happened during Day 2:
NORTH AMERICA
Rise Nation vs. Cloud9
The third quarterfinal match for North America was Rise Nation vs. Cloud9. Many thought Cloud9 could cause the potential upset in this match, but Rise was unstoppable. Rise stormed through this series with a quick 4-0 win over Cloud9. Although C9 kept it close in some matches, Rise just outplayed them in each of the games. With this win, Rise advances to play EnVyUs in the semifinals.
FaZe Clan vs. Dream Team
Our final North America quarterfinal match was FaZe Clan vs. Dream Team. DT started off strong in this series, taking down FaZe 250-129 in Game 1 Hardpoint. FaZe fired right back in Uplink with complete control taking it 18-8. DT, lead by an incredible sniper shot from Chino, was able to retake a series lead of 2-1 after winning Game 3 S&D 6-4.

The series went all the way to final Game 7 match, where Dream Team won it 6-4 and took the series 4-3 in another huge upset at the Stage 2 Finals!

Dream Team advances to the semifinals, where they will play Luminosity.
BRACKET
The Call of Duty World League Stage 2 Finals North America action will return on Sunday, July 16 starting at 12:30PM PDT / 3:30PM EDT with semifinals, followed by the NA Grand Finals.
AUSTRALIA / NEW ZEALAND
Team Orbit vs. Team Immunity
The first ANZ semifinals match was #1 Orbit vs. #4 Team Immunity. The favorites going into this one was Orbit, as they have been on a roll in Stage 2. Immunity put up a tough fight in HP, but big plays from Nimble lead Orbit to a 250-230 win.
Orbit’s dominance continued into Game 2 Uplink and Game 3 Search & Destroy. Orbit closed out this series with a 4-0 win after taking CTF 3-1.
Mindfreak vs. Chiefs esports Club
The Stage 1 Champions Mindfreak went up against The Chiefs in the second ANZ semifinals. Hardpoint Game 1 was all Mindfreak as they won it 250-113. The Chiefs put up a tough fight in Uplink, but a last second interception by Mindfreak led to a MF 4-3 win.

Mindfreak continued their hot streak into Game 3 taking it 6-4. Mindfreak was able to close out this series 4-0 with a win in CTF.
