Having previously been a featured game at Intel Extreme Masters, World of Warcraft players will now have the chance to challenge other players and teams no matter what server they’re playing on once more. After a long break, we are happy to welcome the world’s most played MMORPG back to the ESL lineup!
How Go4WoW will work
Starting this Saturday the 4th of July, 3on3 teams from all over Europe are invited to put their Arena skills to the test, with €100 on the line for each week’s winning team. However, not placing first doesn’t mean the chance to win prize money is lost, as each month’s best eight teams based on their monthly cup performance will face off in a €500 winner-takes-all monthly final.

David Birr, ESL community manager, said of bringing World of Warcraft back to ESL:
“I’m both happy and proud about today’s announcement. Seeing World of Warcraft return to ESL is a good day for both us and players. For quite some time, there was very little competition outside the game itself. Now Go4WoW is the first step towards giving the community a constant tournament they can count on.”
We would like to wish all cup participants good luck and a lot of fun, and make sure to stay up to date with ESL’s World of Warcraft activities by following us on Twitter and Facebook!
