We are happy to welcome Seagate as the official console storage partner for the Brooklyn Beatdown! The Brooklyn Beatdown has returned to New York for its second edition, and is once again taking place in Barclays Center during ESL One New York on September 16-17. A 256 player bracket comprised of Street Fighter V players from around the world gathered in the Big Apple to compete for a share of the US$50,000 prize pool and the Brooklyn Beatdown championship.
“Like any top competitor, versatility and responsiveness are important qualities to have in the equipment used to compete on,” said Ulrich Schulze, SVP of Product. “Seagate’s wide array of Game Drive solutions mirrors the skillset of any top Street Fighter V player: fast reactions, highly capable on any platform, and packed to the brim with technology that helps them perform their best. We’re proud to welcome Seagate to The Brooklyn Beatdown as a partner.”
“Partnering with ESL is a natural and perfect fit for us at Seagate, because we have a mutual passion for gaming,” said Jeff Fochtman, VP of Marketing at Seagate. “Our Game Drive for PS4 that will be on stage for the competition was built with gamers in mind. With 2TB of storage to hold 50+ games, a high speed USB 3.0 connection, and plug-and-play portability that’s PlayStation-ready, we help gamers get right into the action. And with our other Game Drives for Xbox and PC gaming, we have them covered no matter how they want to play.”
But that’s not all. Seagate is teaming up with the one and only Ryan Hart and together, they are giving away drives at the event! Lucky attendees will be able to see for themselves what these drives are capable of.
