ESL One New York 2017 kicked off yesterday with its group stage matches. Eight of the world’s top teams began their battle for the playoffs, a chance to play in front of the roaring crowd in Barclays Center, and the coveted trophy. We saw a total of 10 (5 per group) matches played out and four teams securing a slot in the semifinals: SK Gaming, FaZe Clan, Cloud9 and Team Liquid, giving the home crowd even more reasons to be extremely loud in the venue today and tomorrow.
