The second day of League of Legends at the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship in Katowice heralded the turn of the teams of Group B. Having already seen some of their fellows fall on Friday and with the promise of the title as well as the lion’s share of the US$100,000 prize pool on Sunday, the only way was forward.
SK Telecom T1 definitely made their mark, starting off the day by swiftly defeating Counter Logic Gaming before taking only a few minutes more to bring down the Qiao Gu Reapers. Fnatic fought hard to stay in the runnings after their initial loss to Qiao Gu Reapers, defeating Counter Logic Gaming and winning the right to a rematch. The latter turned out in their favor, with an intense battle ultimately ending in them taking the series.
