After a big first day with plenty of surprises and upsets, the second day of Southeast Asia’s first premium Dota 2 tournament continued with tight series and thrilling matches as the final teams for the semifinals were found. With a total prize pool of US$250,000 on the line, every team was trying to bring their best to the stage in front of the Mall of Asia Arena’s huge audience.
With the elimination and decider matches in both groups on the schedule for today, there were no second chances any more. In Group A, we saw compLexity sending local heroes Mineski packing in a full three-game series but then being bested by Wings Gaming in the decider in another full series. In Group B, Team Secret came back from their loss yesterday, sending EHOME packing in a straight 2-0. Meeting Team Empire in the deciding match, it was the Russians who came out on top after another thrilling three games.
