Echo Arena
Earlier in July we hosted the Echo Arena Invitational at the ESL studios in Leicester, UK where we brought out the top four teams from both Europe and North America to show off the highest level of Echo Arena competition. Team ec.LiP.se secured yet another event win, once again dominating the competition with only the European team BLAST able to scratch a few games off of them in the grand finals.
The Echo Arena competition concludes in August as we lock in our final contenders for Oculus Connect 5. First up is the Stage 3 Finals on August 12th, where the two top teams from North America and Europe will receive an invite to the World Finals Qualifier alongside the winners from stages one and two earlier in the season.
Any and all remaining players will have one final opportunity in the Last Chance Qualifier on August 14th-15th. The top two teams from both NA and EU will advance to the World Finals Qualifier on August 19th.
The top two Echo Arena teams from North America and Europe will be decided at the World Finals Qualifier on August 18th-19th. Those four teams will go on to meet at Oculus Connect 5 on September 27th for the season finale, with $38,000 up for grabs alongside the championship title.
Each of these events will be broadcast live in the run up to OC5, so be sure to tune in at 10:00AM PST/19:00 CEST on August 12th, 15th and 19th to see who to expect at the grand finals at Oculus Connect 5!
