The qualifiers for the MSI Masters Gaming Arena (MGA) 2015 are over, and now all that remains is for some of the world’s best Heroes of the Storm and StarCraft II players to fight for the title - and thousands of dollars’ worth of prizes - at PAX Prime in Seattle. Take a look at how things have unfolded and what there is to look forward to at the main event!
Heroes of the Storm
The MSI MGA 2015 Heroes of the Storm qualifiers allowed eight teams - including one invitee - to qualify for the main event in Seattle, with these having taken place in the Asian, Chinese, SEA, European and American regions.
We know now the full grand final lineup, with the following teams to go head to head in world’s first ever international Heroes of the Storm tournament:
- MVP Black (Asian qualifier)
- eStar Gaming (Chinese qualifier)
- Team Liquid (European qualifier)
- Virtus.pro (European qualifier)
- myRevenge.VS (SEA qualifier)
- Tempo Storm (American qualifier)
- Cloud9 (American qualifier)
- COGnitive Gaming (invited)
With a US$50,000 prize pool up for grabs and a series of single elimination, best of three matches to get through before the grueling best of five grand final, these top teams definitely have their work cut out for them.
The MSI MGA Heroes of the Storm grand finals will take place at PAX Prime booth 4003 on the 28th and 29th of August, so be sure to tune in if you can’t make it in person!
StarCraft II
Sixteen players have fought their way through six online qualifiers to be part of the MSI MGA 2015 StarCraft II grand finals. With competitors from Europe, America, South Korea, Taiwan, China and SEA to be joined by six invited players, the fight for the US$25,000 prize pool and 4,000 WCS points up for grabs will soon begin in earnest.

The group stage will use a double elimination, best of three format that will see the top two from each group advancing to the playoffs, where the round of eight and semifinal matches will also be best of threes before the best of five grand final.
Set to take place at PAX Prime booth 4003 on the 30th and 31st of August, the exciting conclusion to the MSI MGA StarCraft II competition is not to be missed, so make sure you tune in here if you can’t make it to Seattle.
