The Guild Wars 2 World Tournament Series champions have been crowned

The ESL Arena at gamescom was host to the grand finals of the Guild Wars 2 World Tournament Series. Four of the world’s best teams traveled to Cologne to battle it out for the championship title and their share of the US$50,000 prize pool. To ensure the very best teams make it to the grand final, the tournament was played in a double-elimination best-of-three format. See how the games unfolded below.

The grand final came down to Europe’s Orange Logo and North America’s The Abjured. Although The Abjured lost to the European’s in round one, it was the North American team who showed complete dominance and took down Orange Logo in two best-of-threes without dropping a single match. The Abjured proved to be the best Guild Wars 2 team in the world and secured the World Tournament Series championship title - congratulations!
