With the SMITE Super Regionals having been announced in September and the competition kicking off today, we’re pleased to announce a brand new SMITE Super Regionals ESL Fantasy league! While some of Europe and North America’s top teams battle it out for slots in the SMITE World Championship, why not test your SMITE scene knowledge and earn a few gems while you’re at it?
How it works
ESL Fantasy for the SMITE Super Regionals will use a bracket challenge format and include both the European and North American playoffs as well as the wildcard decider match. To earn points, managers have to try and predict the correct winners and scores of all the tournament matches.
You can earn fantasy points in the following ways:
- 3 points for picking the correct winner
- 2 additional points if the predicted winner and scores are correct
Predicted winners and results can be adjusted right up until the beginning of the match in question, and new managers can join the fantasy league at any point (although they won’t be able to make predictions for matches that have already finished or begun).
Prizes
The top five ESL Fantasy SMITE managers will benefit from a generous gem prize pool, which will be distributed among the winners as follows:
- First place: 5,000 gems
- Second place: 3,000 gems
- Third place: 1,500 gems
- Fourth place: 1,000 gems
- Fifth place: 500 gems
Private leagues
If you’d just like to play against your friends, you can also set up private ESL Fantasy leagues. You can start as many of these with as many members as you like, with points earned in exactly the same way as the main league. While private league participants aren’t eligible to win the prizes detailed above, bragging rights are still most definitely up for grabs!
