On Monday we announced ESL Fantasy for Counter-Strike at Intel Extreme Masters San Jose, and today we’re pleased to be able to reveal the same for the event’s exciting League of Legends competition. As well as all-important bragging rights, the top ESL Fantasy managers can also get their hands on some awesome esports swag, so read on to find out more and take part!
How it works
ESL Fantasy League of Legends for Intel Extreme Masters San Jose will also be using a bracket challenge format, which means you have to attempt to predict the correct winner and scores of all the matches throughout the tournament in order to score points.
Fantasy points can be gained as follows:
- 3 points for picking the correct winner
- 2 additional points if the predicted winner and scores are correct
You can pick and switch your predicted winners and results right up until the start of the corresponding match. Additionally, new managers can join at any time, although they of course can’t go back and make predictions for matches that have already taken place.
Prizes
Up for grabs for the top ESL Fantasy League of Legends managers are ESL Shop vouchers, which you can use to buy all sorts of esports merchandise! The first and second place ESL Fantasy managers will receive the following prizes respectively:
- First place: €50 ESL Shop voucher
- Second place: €25 ESL Shop voucher
Private leagues
If the satisfaction of proving that your League of Legends knowledge is better than your friends’ is the only reward you need, you may want to consider creating a private ESL Fantasy league. You can make as many of these with as many participants as you like, with points earned in the same way as in the main fantasy league.
