Season 1 of the WGLNA World of Tanks Gold League begins tomorrow!

The WGLNA season is finally upon us! The first broadcast of Season 1 will air on twitch.tv/wgl_en at 5PM PDT tomorrow, August 4 and the schedule is full of great matchups. Tell us which match you’re most looking forward to using the #WGLNA hashtag on Twitter!

Keep in mind that the only match being broadcasted during the 6:30PM PDT time slot will be Apex vs Cible Détruite. Rival-SimpleTankers vs. Get Flanked and o7 Gaming vs. Deja Vu will not be broadcasted.

HIGH WOLTAGE VS ECLIPSE

This match might be the highlight of the night, as last season’s champions, Eclipse, take on High Woltage Caballers. Eclipse are the champions of the previous season and represented North America at the Global Grand Finals in Poland. They also acquired BOT_Vetro, one of the most popular WGLNA players, right before the Global Grand Finals which makes them even more menacing. High Woltage have always been crowd favorites and are a talented roster that finished third last season. The Caballers had some high profile pickups of their own during the offseason, picking up members from several older teams including SIMP, Refuse, and Fnatic. This will be an exciting match between two of North America’s powerhouse teams.

APEX VS CIBLE DÉTRUITE

In the second matchup of the night, Apex, formerly known as Noble, will be taking on the newcomers Cible Détruite. Apex played under the Noble name last season but they are a new team since picking up the core of SIMP’s players including Overlord_Prime, PhotoFinish, and Nitts. Noble finished fourth last season, but their new roster is sure to scare even the toughest teams. Apex’s opponents will be Cible Détruite, who just joined the league after winning the qualifiers with the help of several new members from Caller Wanted. As the newest team in the league, they are eager to get out there and show the viewers what they can do.

HI! VS AQUATIC M60S

The final match of the night will be a rematch of the S2 playoffs where Caller Wanted, now known as Hi!, faced off against Aquatic M60s. Hi! Prevailed over Aquatic M60s in that battle, but we will see who comes out on top this season. Both teams have been replenishing their rosters with new players, which leaves this matchup unpredictable. Either way, this should be an exciting rematch game for the players and fans alike.

OFFSTREAM MATCHES

There will be two non-broadcasted matches going on while Apex and Cible Détruite battle it out at 6:30PM. Get Flanked will go up against Rival-Simple Tankers and o7 Gaming will play Deja Vu. WGLNA veterans Rival will take on another newcomer team Get Flanked, who qualified from the silver league. Another group of WGLNA veterans, o7 are always in the playoff mix while Deja Vu are also a recent addition to gold league.
