Starting today, ESL players on PlayStation 4 have the chance to compete in ESL tournaments without ever putting their controllers down. In cooperation with Sony, we are happy to present the integration of our very own tournament system into PlayStation 4’s dashboard. Just go to events in your dashboard to find all upcoming tournaments in the supported games.
For the start, 1on1 tournaments in Mortal Kombat X, WRC 5, Project Cars and NBA 2k17 are supported. The seamless integration into the user flow on PlayStation 4 will help players to truly focus on their tournament play rather than the surroundings of it. More games and modes are planned for the future, based on the user's feedback.
Marcel Menge, Managing Director ESL Technology, about the integration into the PlayStation 4 dashboard:
„Our goal is to create an environment for competitive gaming that allows players to focus on playing the games. With Sony we found a fantastic partner that shared our vision and who worked together with us to create the best experience for gamers around the world. We hope the community enjoys what we have come up with and are looking forward to all the feedback they will provide, as this is just the first step in our partnership with Sony.”
While ESL users can login right into their account, new users can create an ESL account with just a few steps and have their PSN ID linked to it right from the start. We are looking forward to hearing your feedback. In case you see any problems or have ideas for future updates, don’t hesitate to use the integrated ESL support.
