Day one of League of Legends at the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship did not disappoint. Eight teams from around the world gathered in Katowice, Poland in order to fight for their share of a minimum US$100,000 prize pool as well as the prestigious title and trophy, and none of them were willing to give up their chance without a fight.
Friday saw Group A face off, with the initial best of ones seeing some incredible moments including brutal Baron fights, nailbiting teamfights and even a pentakill. After a hard-fought elimination match and a breakneck decider match, we now know who’s one step closer to the crown.
