The penultimate day of the WCS Winter Championship saw the round of 16 come to a close as well as the quarterfinals both start and finish. When the dust had settled on the third day of StarCraft in Katowice, all the semifinalists had been decided - but not all of the players’ paths were straightforward ones.
Round of 16
The last few matches of the round of 16 were definitely not the least. Both Snute and Elazer managed to take their respective series after each dropping a single game, leaving them with precious hours to prepare for the quarterfinals. Hydra and Neeb’s battle was a little closer, but ultimately it was the South Korean who came out on top with a 3-2 scoreline.
Results

- Match 8: Elazer vs. iAsonu - 3-1
Quarterfinals
We were left with an incredible lineup for the WCS Winter Championship quarterfinals - but eight had to become four. With the quarterfinals series all proving to be rather decisive (especially home crowd hero Nerchio’s against HuK), we now know exactly who tomorrow will bring.
