With the title, trophy and lion’s share of a US$50,000 prize pool on the line, yesterday saw some fierce battles as Intel Extreme Masters Cologne kicked off. Six top League of Legends team from around the world traveled to the ESL studios in Cologne, but the quarterfinals would inevitably spell the end for two of them.

The second matchup saw Cloud9 face off against H2k, with Cloud9 putting in a good first game only to lose both subsequent matches to H2k.
