IEM World Championships to be US$100,000 Winner-Takes-All Tournament

The bar has been raised for competitors of the Intel Extreme Masters Season 8 World Championship. The elite pro gaming tour, set to conclude its season-long search for the World’s Best StarCraft II Heart of the Swarm player, will see the winner take home the entirety of the competition’s US$100,000 prize pool. In a move that breaks prize money records for the eSports industry leader, ESL, the heat has been turned up for the sixteen players set to converge on the Spodek Arena in Katowice, Poland.
