It’s been 12 years since the first cup bearing the Go4 name was played, and since then more than 2,725 further tournaments have taken place.
While the first Go4 was held in Warcraft 3, with OCR-FatRandy being the first Go4 winner ever, Go4s are now regularly played for a wide variety of titles including StarCraft II, League of Legends, CS:GO, Battlefield 4, World of Tanks and Infinite Crisis.
The regular Go4 cups are our way of providing a battleground where aspiring players and teams can get their first taste of playing for money while honing their skills against experienced opposition. They are a place where amateur teams can play against pros and make a name for themselves as they improve their skills.
In that spirit, Go4 cups have seen some of today’s biggest eSports teams - such as Fnatic, SK Gaming and Team SoloMid, to name but a few - take part, with many of their players having even started their climb to the top by getting involved with ESL cups.
Over the last 12 years, over 225,000 unique players and 54,000 unique teams have competed in Go4 cups, for more than US$1,000,000 in paid-out prize money, many of whom moved on to compete in the WCS, LCS, Intel Extreme Masters and ESL One. Do you have what it takes to make it to the pro circuit?
