exceL eSports barely qualified for the Halo World Championship Tour: Cologne by coming in first at the UK Last Chance Qualifier. But they proved themselves in Cologne where they placed second, and earned a seat at the Halo World Championship. Here's a look into the team ahead of the matches.
ESL: What is your team's strongest/weakest map?
exceL: Strongest map is Strongholds on Eden, weakest map is Capture the Flag on Coliseum
ESL: In your opinion, what is the best Spartan ability and what’s the best way to use it?
exceL: They are all great abilities that can all work well when combined, but the best one would be Ground Pound. You can use it not only to do damage, but also to move around the map in different ways and reach spots that may be unreachable with a simple sprint, jump, thrust.
ESL: What was the greatest obstacle your team had to overcome in order to qualify for worlds?
exceL: Coming together as a squad in such a highly talented competition with such little time to practice and gel. Individually they are all great players it's just making it all stick that's important now.
ESL: What part of your game does your team have to improve on most in order to win?
exceL: Focusing more on the team communication and working better as a unit rather than just individually skilled players.
ESL: Which team are you most excited to play? Least excited to play? *Editor's note: exceL answered these questions before the Halo World Championship Tour: Columbus. Which means it'll be hard to be excited about facing Team EnVyUs.
Snakey - Most: Denial, Least: CLG
Creepeazy - Most: Envy, Least: No One
Lunny: Most - Envy, Least: CLG
Riotz: Most - Envy, Least: No One
Prsma (Coach) - Most: Evil Geniuses, Least: CLG
