The Call of Duty World League presented by PlayStation Stage 1 Relegation is this Friday! Eight teams are competing on Friday, April 1 live from the ESL Studios in Burbank, California, but only four will secure a spot in Stage 2 of the Pro Division. Those matches will be followed on Saturday and Sunday by the North American Call of Duty World League Stage 1 Finals, where the top eight Pro Division teams will compete for a share of the US$250,000 prize pool!
This Friday, the bottom four Pro Division teams, which are Team Kaliber, Dream Team, H2K, and Counter Logic Gaming, will go up against a Challenge Division team that qualified through Online Relegation.
ONLINE RELEGATION RECAP
16 teams were chosen to take part in the Online Relegation based on their World League standings. At the start of the Online Relegation, the teams were broken down into four groups.
Following the Group Play, the top two teams from each group were seeded into a Single Elimination Bracket, with the winner of each match securing a spot at Relegation.
STAGE 1 RELEGATION MATCHUPS
Here’s a look at how the matchups were determined for the Stage 1 Relegation.
- Match 1: Highest Seed Pro Division Team vs. Fourth Place Challenge Division Team
- Match 2: Second Highest Seed Pro Division Team vs. Third Place Challenge Division Team
- Match 3: Third Highest Seed Pro Division Team vs. Second Place Challenge Division Team
- Match 4: Fourth Highest Seed Pro Division Team vs. First Place Challenge Division Team
