Intel Extreme Masters Shenzhen kicked off yesterday with the StarCraft II players of groups A and B battling it out for a slot in the playoffs, and in the end, it was Snute, Classic, TY and Losira who emerged victorious. Today, it was time for the players of groups C and D to show off their skills and fight their way to the quarterfinals.
Group C
Group C was the group of the second European hope - uThermal. After Snute’s incredible performance yesterday, all eyes were on uThermal to see whether he could repeat the Norwegian’s success. In the end, the fans were not disappointed, with uThermal indeed securing a slot in the playoffs and defeating the Chinese players along the way. The second slot went to favorite of the group herO, who breezed through without dropping a single match.
