Earlier this month, we took a look at the growth of the Infinite Crisis scene in Europe. With huge gaming organizations such as Na’Vi, AbsoluteLegends and Dignitas all putting their best teams forward and offline tournaments having been held at both Gamescom 2013 and Pax East earlier this year, the DC Comics-themed MOBA is quickly gathering steam.
We underlined this growth with the recent announcement of our €10,000 Infinite Crisis tournament for this year’s Gamescom, which will feature the top four teams as decided by the results of our Go4InfiniteCrisis cup series.
ESL brings Go4InfiniteCrisis to America
Keeping up that momentum, we are happy to announce that we will also be bringing our Infinite Crisis Go4 series to America, with a grand total of US$20,000 in prizes up for grabs in the run up to the seasonal finals. With US$500 of winnings being awarded every Sunday from June the 1st to September the 7th, US$1,000 monthly finals and a hefty US$10,000 to win in September, this move will hopefully help grow the American Infinite Crisis scene and see even more professional organizations enter the fray.
For those interested in the specifics, the finals prize money breakdown is as follows:
- June Monthly Final - July 5th 2014 - US$1,000
- July Monthly Final - August the 2nd 2014 - US$1,000
- August Monthly Final - September 13th 2014 - US$1,000
- Seasonal Finals - September 20th 2014 - US$10,000
Standard Go4 rules (e.g. 100 points for first place, 80 for second, etc.) apply.
