EMS One Katowice: Only four spots left for the European Qualifier Finals

The first open EU Qualifier finished last night. Two bigger names in the CS community managed to qualify this time after failing in the National Qualifiers and are still in the race to be part of the US$250,000 tournament of EMS One Katowice. Let us give you a run through the teams that managed to become part of the EU Qualifier Finals last night including statements from all four about their performance and their goals for finals.

All details about EMS One Katowice - EU Qualifier #2

Reason Gaming

The former Danish powerhouse is back with well known names such as Friis and karrigan. Now they have a shot at making it to Katowice, to become the second or even third Danish team there as Dignitas has already qualified and 3DMAX being in the EU Qualifier Finals as well.

Iomme of Reason Gaming:

We recently made some changes to our lineup and we've been practicing a few weeks now for the qualifiers. We've been pretty shaky at times, but we still had the feeling that we had to qualify for the EU Qualifier Finals. Throughout the qualifier we had some close matches, threw stupid rounds and such, but in the end we pulled through. The EU Qualifier Finals are gonna be really tough, so we have to step our game up in order for us to go to Poland. There are a lot of good teams, so we expect some great and close matches, hopefully we'll be able to finish top 6.

Team ALTERNATE

The second well known organization making it last night had been struggling a little recently but came second in the German Qualifer in a close match against mousesports. Now they have another chance to claim the position as the best German team by qualifying for the EMS One Katowice. Even though their match against ESC Gaming was decided in the overtime, the Germans did come out on top and will now focus on the EU Qualifier Finals.

asmo of Team ALTERNATE:

Hey all, first of all we're happy to have qualified for the EU Qualifier Finals of EMS One Katowice! After we had to concede the National spot to mousesports we only had two more chances and we're very proud to have taken the first one and make it a success - even if we had to wait more than actually play, haha!

Although I don't really want to, I feel like I have to add something about the match we played against Neophyte. Ultimately they had to play with 4 instead of 5 for a part of the match, something which is out of my (or our) control, and was enforced by admin decision in which we had no say. Neophyte showed willpower by playing out and we agreed in the spirit of sportsmanship, even while we really didn't have to. We're sorry that the match had to go this way, but the rules are the rules and the ESL enforces them regardless of our choice.

With that out the way we set our sights on the EU Qualifier Finals and achieving a top six placing, so we can showcase our game to all of our loyal fans and followers on the biggest stage of CS:GO!

To Be Announced

One of the big surprises of the Nordic Qualifiers, Team TBA, managed to grab a slot yesterday night in the Best of 3 series against H2k by 2:0 after defeating k1ck, Highgrade and EnRo.GRIFFINS on the road to that final match. After dropping out in the first round of the Nordic Finals against 3DMAX, who would go on to win the cup, this victory comes as a great relief to eksem and his mates. Now they will get another chance to showcase their skills looking for an organization to back them up.

eksem of To Be Announced:

After splitting up with our former teammates from LGB me and SKYTTEN wanted to do something big again. We created a team with hope to do what we always do, fight to the top. Today we made it out from the first qualifier and will keep fighting in the main qualification. Thanks do everybody that believes in us and we will do our best to keep your faith on our side

oFF Balance Gaming

The last team which qualified is the biggest surprise so far. oFF Balance Gaming did not take part in the Nordic Qualifers and meant the end to a lot of teams we got to know in the National Qualifers all over Europe. minttu, EYES ON U, ENCE as well as partyastronauts could not stop them from taking a spot in the EU Qualifier Finals. It will be interesting to see what these newcomers will be able to show facing the best teams from all over Europe.

 tweakstar of oFF Balance Gaming:

It’s been 3 Days with Massive CS: GO Matches and we’ve managed to qualify for the online finals. We’ve went pretty easy through our Games and had much confident for each Match. The next step for us is to qualify for EMS Katowice through the European Finals. We will be prepared and do our best to qualify. We would like to thank oFF Balance Gaming for the Huge Support they have shown towards us.
