With the second European Qualifier done, all 16 teams for the European Qualifier Finals are decided and can prepare to take the last step towards being qualified for the US$250,000 EMS One Katowice. Six of these will get the chance to prove their skills and compete at EMS One Katowice, facing the best teams from all over the world. In the first round teams from the Regional Qualifiers will meet those from the European Qualifiers to advance in the Upper Bracket. But having the Finals set in Double Elimination even a very bad start can still turn out to be the ticket to the event!

After the 2nd European Qualifier we spoke to the final four teams. All of them gave us their view on how to cup worked out for them and what their plans are for the European Qualifier Finals starting on Tuesday.
Wizards Club sukitRon about the cup:
First of all, I would like to thank the ESL and all its team for hosting these amazing events – keep up the good work. And second, we are really happy to accomplish the first step towards EMS One Katowice. These days prior to the main qualifier, we will be working really hard in order to be as prepared as we can, and make up for these last weeks when we haven’t really been able to practice more than a few praccs. As usual, big thanks to everyone supporting us, you are great, and big thanks to SteelSeries, 4frags, as well as all of our sponsors for their invaluable support.
pyth of Kappa about qualifying:
We’re happy that we qualified for the online finals in this EU qualifier. Some people said that we were lucky and got the easy side of the bracket but I think they’re wrong – we played against some really good teams and mixes that could easily beat us but we’re invidually stronger and every one of us stepped up. With more practice, we will become much stronger, and we’re hungry for qualifying for the big event in Katowice and I think we’ll be able to do so. In our first qualifier, we didn’t play with berg – adding him for this qualifier was something we needed ’cause we didn’t have a in-game leader. Hopefully we will be able to get an established organisation that are willing to support us for future events. Thanks to everyone believing in us and showing us their support – we really appreciate it!
H2k’s rubino about the team’s goals:
It feels really good to finally qualify for the European finals. We’ve faced teams of different qualities, and even having to play with some stand-ins we managed to earn ourselves a spot. Our main goal is still to qualify for the Katowice finals, where we aim to prove to everyone that we are good enough to play with the big boys.
cy of partyastronauts on their result:
We are satisfied with how the qualifier went – it was really close in the end, but we managed to pull through. Of course we hope that we manage to qualify for EMS One Katowice, but there are a lot of good teams in the final qualifier, and we are obviously underdogs. We are just going to give it our all, play as best as we can and see how far that takes us.
