Week 2 of the Mortal Kombat X Pro League welcomed five fresh faces to the Season 3 top eight, but was dominated by veterans and rivals Scar and SonicFox. The reigning champion once again came away with the weekly US$500 first place prize, but wasn’t able to repeat last week’s clean sweep. HoneyBee and BioHazard gained valuable Pro League points from their SonicFox matchups, with each taking one game off of him to help these Season 3 newcomers push toward a safe spot in the Finals.
HoneyBee might not have won the match, but he was the first to put a dent in SonicFox’s Season 3 armor.

RedRaptor closed out the quarterfinals with the first sweep of the night, taking down Aura 3-0. He then pushed his semifinals match against Scar to the only fifth game of the night, putting up a good fight, but ultimately losing to the Pro League veteran.

In the semifinals SonicFox had his second Season 3 stumble, losing a game to BioHazard.

The Week 2 Finals ended with a matchup between Scar and SonicFox and after both HoneyBee and BioHazard were able to take a game point from the two-time champion, hopes were high for a possible upset. SonicFox didn’t let that happen though, and for the second week in a row he defended his championship title and swept Scar, taking the Finals 3-0 and further securing his first place position in the standings.
