ESL One Cologne, the world’s largest CS:GO tournament and an official Valve Major, will be held from July 5-10 in Cologne Germany, and features the top sixteen Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams from across the world battling for a share of a $1 million prize pool. Just before the finals on Sunday, July 10, Emil “HeatoN” Christensen will be honored in the first ever induction ceremony of the Esports Hall of Fame.
HeatoN
HeatoN is the former captain and current manager for Ninjas in Pyjamas and he will be presented as the Esports Hall of Fame inductee by current NiP captain Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund.
HeatoN was part of the team that won the Cyberathlete Professional League World Championship in 2001 and went on to win numerous championships in Counter-Strike 1.6 with SK Gaming and NiP, including CPL Summer 2002 and 2003, CPL Winter 2003, World Cyber Games 2003, and DreamHack Summer 2006. He retired in 2007, and has truly left his mark on the history of competitive Counter-Strike.

ESL One Cologne
ESL One Cologne 2016 will kick off with the group stages on July 5 and will open to the public at the LANXESS Arena on July 8.
