A huge congratulations to Denial Esports on winning the Gears of War Season 1 World Championship! After battling with Onslaught for control of first place all season long, Denial brought the same level of excitement to the finals. They fought their way there by taking down rival Onslaught in a best of five, but things looked dire when they fell behind two maps to zero against EnVyUs.
However, Denial never gave up and they dug deep to prove themselves, handing out a little denial of their own. They managed to turn things around and pulled off a reverse sweep to take the title three maps to two, earning the trophy, the title and a share of the US$60,000 prize pool, all in front of a sold-out audience. Thank you to Denial along with Onslaught, VexX, EnVyUs and everyone else who participated in Gears of War Season 1!
