SK Gaming made their ESL Pro League Season 4 debut this week, but four losses right off the bat wasn’t what many expected from the ESL One Cologne championship roster. Meanwhile, Cloud9 maintained their undefeated record, and Immortals and Echo Fox remained the second and third place teams. Here’s everything that happened in Week 3.
MONDAY
Week 3 began with two wins for NRG Esports against eUnited, and NRG Esports were able to secure two 16-8 wins. Cloud9 then won their first game against Renegades easily, but were almost in danger of losing their winning streak until they won their second game against RNG in overtime.
Winterfox defeated Counter Logic Gaming twice and to everyone’s shock SK Gaming began their season with two losses against their ESL One Cologne foes Team Liquid.

TUESDAY
On Tuesday, NA frontrunners Cloud9 went up against eUnited and continued their perfect record with two more wins. eUnited dropped down and now sit in 14th place at the bottom of the standings with only one win after ten games.
In a close match, Counter Logic Gaming won their first game of the season against Selfless Gaming in overtime, but Selfless answered back with a 16-5 win in Game 2.

Consistently second place overall these past three weeks, Immortals took two games off of Renegades and SK Gaming won their first six league points of the season with two wins against NRG Esports.
WEDNESDAY
SK Gaming were not able to maintain momentum after their Tuesday wins as they lost to Renegades first 16-12 and then with a staggering score of 16-0.

NRG Esports then defeated Winterfox twice, winning both matches with a score of 16-5.
THURSDAY
The last matchup of the week was Renegades vs. Team Liquid, and RNG stunned everyone by winning both games, ending Week 3 at sixth place in the standings. A matchup against SK Gaming and Winterfox was rescheduled. Stay tuned for more details.
