The Mortal Kombat X Mid-Season Showdown has prepared a special treat for fans in the form of the Fan’s Choice exhibition tournament presented by Xbox, which will give fans the power to create the matchups they want to see and a chance to win an Xbox One as they do so!

The tourney will be a part of the NA Mid-Season Showdown and will take place after its matches. Fans will get to vote for four players from both North America and Europe who will then fight for an impressive US$10,000 prize pool. The players will play in a mini bracket with best of five matches in a double elimination format, and fans can choose from the player lineup below:

The voting starts today, the 23rd of May, and will end on Thursday the 28th of May at 18:00 PST (the 29th of May at 03:00 CEST), and after the voting ends fans will be informed about the results on the official event website and social media channels.

The Mid-Season Showdown

The first season of the Mortal Kombat X Pro League kicked off a few weeks ago with a series of qualifiers in which many players began their journey to the season finals. The qualifiers have determined the top 16 players from each region (CIS, NA and EU) who will now face each other in the Mid-Season Showdown and battle it out for a guaranteed spot in the season finals and their share of a US$2,500 prize pool.

Each region will get its own showdown, which will share the following format:

• Top 16 players from weeks one to four

• The winner secures a spot in the global season finals

• The matches will use a best of five, single elimination format

The prize money will be distributed as follows:

• First place: US$1,250

• Second place: US$750

• Third place: US$250

• Fourth place: US$250
