We are excited to announce that a new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competition will be kicking off in October for teams from the Nordic region! The ESL Nordic Nationals will see the region’s best teams fight their way through a series of qualifiers for their chance at €15,000 of prize money at the offline grand finals, and with plenty of top talent eager to compete we’re bound to have some incredible games along the way.

The qualifiers

The first season will span from the 19th of October until the 20th of December, with teams with a majority roster from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway or Sweden able to qualify for the tournament by entering any of the four qualifiers for each country as detailed on the Play.ESLGaming.com website.

The top teams from each qualifier will advance to one of two country group stages, where they will be placed into groups of four to compete for a spot in the offline finals.

The grand finals

The top eight teams as decided by the qualifiers and group stages will get to attend the grand finals at Inferno Online - the world’s largest gaming center - in Stockholm, Sweden on the weekend of the 19th and 20th December.

There they will compete in front of thousands of fans for a hefty €15,000 prize pool and the prestige of being known as the Nordic region’s top Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team.
