We are happy to announce that ESL is once again partnering up with GSMA’s Mobile World Congress to bring esports back to Barcelona, Spain, in its biggest competition yet. ESL Expo Barcelona presented by Mobile World Congress will take place on the 19th to the 21st of February 2016 in Hall 2 of the Fira Barcelona Montjuic and will feature tournaments in both League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO). ESL Expo Barcelona presented by Mobile World Congress is already our third joint event, and being held in a proven and full of esports potential territory like Spain, we’re confident the future is bright and full of opportunities for both GSMA and ESL.”

The event

The event will see three days packed with great esports action in a prestigious venue able to welcome over 2,500 esports fans. Attendees will be able to enjoy two tournaments - the international Barcelona CS:GO Invitational presented by Mobile World Congress as well as the ESL Masters Spain, the Spanish national championship in League of Legends. Eight top CS:GO teams - four international, two European and two Spanish - as well as eight local League of Legends teams will battle it out in their respective tournaments for a total prize pool of €80,000.

Aside from the exciting tournaments themselves, the ESL Expo Barcelona presented by Mobile World Congress will also feature a number of partner booths, shops and side activities. Top CS:GO teams Fnatic and EnVyUs are already confirmed as attending, so make sure not to miss it!
