Season One of the European World Championship Series has come to an end and new champions have been crowned: Jang “MC” Min Chul took first place in the European region and Ko “HyuN” Seok Hyun earned himself the title position in America. With that, it’s now time to get Season 2 started!
We’ve got four cups lined up, which will determine sixteen new players for the Challenger League. Three of these will be restricted to players from the EMEA region and will start on the 21st of April and end on the 23rd of April. Each day of competition will see the top four qualify for the Challenger League of the 2014 WCS Europe Season 2, guaranteeing a minimum prize payout of US$600 while also providing a stepping stone to WCS Europe Premier League qualification.

- April 22nd, 17:00 CEST: Qualifier #2 (Sign up now)

The above three cups are open to participants from the European, Middle Eastern and African regions. All participants must be at least Master League with 200 or more listed wins and have their StarCraft II character code and StarCraft II web ID entered in their ESL profile (see esl.eu/eu/sc2/gameaccounts for more information on how to do this). All matches will be played in best of three format using a single elimination bracket.
The fourth qualifier (on the 24th of April) is open to everyone regardless of their region. In every other respect, the competition format is the same - it will use the same mode and, as with the others, the top four will qualify.
One additional qualifier in which everyone regardless of location is allowed to participate will also be held. The cup will use the same mode as the previous three, and the top four will directly qualify as well.
