The year’s installment of The International is set to take place at Seattle’s KeyArena from the 3rd to the 8th of August and boasts a prize pool of over US$17 million - the largest to date for a single esports tournament. While you won’t be able to get your hands on quite as much by taking part in our TI5 ESL Fantasy league, there is still some pretty nifty swag up for grabs...
How it works
ESL Fantasy for TI5 will cover the main event in a bracket challenge format, meaning you need to predict the winning team to earn points and will gain additional ones if you also predict the overall result correctly.
Fantasy points will be awarded as follows:
- 3 points for picking the correct winning team
- 2 additional points if the predicted result is also correct
You can pick your entire bracket from now until the start of the bracket on Monday the 3rd of August, and you can edit your results predictions right up until the start of each match. New managers can still join after the first matches have been played but they won’t be able to make predictions for past or ongoing matches.
Private leagues
If you’re not fussed about prizes or have a few particular people you want to prove your mettle against, you may want to create your own private league.
You can make as many private leagues with as many members as you like - just make sure everyone has made their predictions before the first matches start so nobody misses out on some vital points!
Prizes
As well as bragging rights, those at the top of the ESL Fantasy rankings after The International 5 is over stand to win lots of cool Dota 2 swag.
Choose your predictions wisely and you could get your hands on the following:
- First place: ESL One Frankfurt event t-shirt and €100 ESL Shop voucher (usable on official TI5 team merchandise)
- Second place: ESL One Frankfurt event t-shirt and €50 ESL Shop voucher
- Third to fifth place: ESL One Frankfurt event t-shirt
