Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Pro League: the top four Xbox One teams are locked in while the PC players battle on!

The ESL Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Pro League continues! Last Thursday, the PC teams kept the competition close with some epic matchups during Play Day 5. We also saw the top Xbox One teams from both regions battle it out on Monday for their spot at the Season 1 Finals and a share of the US$50,000 prize pool.

Monday was huge for the Rainbow Six Pro League on Xbox One, with two weeks worth of matches squeezed into one epic day of play! We saw six matches on the European side and five between the North American teams, ending with the top two teams from each region locked in for the Season 1 Finals.

The Xbox One matches began with Team Vitality against 1UPeSport.ImmenZ, with Vitality winning their match 2-0 for the second week straight. This week Team Vitality saw another huge boost in their rankings, this time going all the way to the top spot after taking their second match of the night against Supremacy 2-0.

Team Infused also beat Supremacy 2-0 early on in the evening. The two teams then faced off again, giving Supremacy a chance to turn the tables, but Team Infused held their ground, forcing the match to end in a draw and securing their place in the Season 1 Finals.

Nemesis and eXcellence Gaming will represent North America in the first ever Rainbow Six Finals on Xbox One! Nemesis was able to hold their top position after two draws against Onslaught eSports and Team AGG. In an exciting battle for the second slot, eXcellence Gaming dominated their first match against L 4 Legendary 2-0, and maintained their position despite losing 0-2 against Rewritten later in the night.

The PC side of the Rainbow Six Pro League still has two days of matches before their Finals in May where the top PC teams will fight for a share of the second Season 1 $US50,000 prize pool. Read on to catch up with what happened on Play Day 5 last Thursday!
