343 Industries and ESL are happy to announce more details about the 2017 Halo Championship Series: Pro League, which will once again follow the top teams in the region, culminating in the Summer 2017 Season Finals at DreamHack Atlanta this July.
Over $150,000 is up for grabs over the course of the Summer 2017 Season with additional crowdfunding contributing to DreamHack prize pool. The Summer 2017 regular season kicks off on May 24 for the North American region. Look for details on Open Circuit, Europe, and plenty more in the coming weeks.
NORTH AMERICA
The North American HCS Pro League Summer 2017 Season officially begins Thursday, May 24 on the Halo Twitch channel and the ESL Halo Facebook page at 4:30PM PST. Tune in for the weekly broadcasts on Wednesdays and Thursdays to find out which six teams will secure a spot in the DreamHack Atlanta Championship Bracket. In the wake of the North America Fall 2016 Finals and the Halo World Championships, here is the North American HCS Pro League lineup so far:

The last NA Pro League team will be decided via a Last Chance Qualifier, with tournament details to be posted in the coming week. A lot can still happen before the first match of the season. With the previously eighth seeded Pro League team, Allegiance, disbanding and losing their Pro League spot, several top players are now in the free agent pool. The North American rosters lock at 11:59PM PST on Thursday, May 4, so be sure to follow along for the latest news on the ESL Halo Twitter and Facebook, as more details are confirmed.
SUMMER 2017 FINALS
Following the regular season, the top six North American teams will qualify for the HCS Pro League Summer 2017 Finals at DreamHack Atlanta. Additionally, Top Open Bracket rosters will also advance to the Championship Bracket that will compete for the Finals prize pool of over $100,000. The final prizing will be determined by additional crowdfunding.
The seventh and eighth place North American HCS Pro League teams will be given favorable seeding in the Open Bracket, and all eligible teams in the Open Bracket will challenge them for the two available Pro League spots. The top two North American Open Bracket teams will earn a spot in the NA Fall 2017 HCS Pro League season.
All DreamHack attendees with general passes and a team of four are eligible to compete in the Open Bracket. We’re exploring the possibility of a separate registration discount and pass for HCS Pro League Summer 2017 Finals Open Bracket teams, and will be sure to coordinate with players and teams that already purchased general passes if applicable. For now, each player can purchase a 3-Day Visitor Pass.
FALL 2017 SEASON
The HCS Pro League Fall 2017 Season will kick off on August 23 and conclude with the Finals at DreamHack Denver from October 20-22.
