Last weekend, the indigo at the O2 Arena in London, UK, was filled with passionate CS:GO fans who came to watch the world’s best teams compete for the ESL Pro League Season 3 championship and a lion’s share of the US$750,000 prize pool. After two days of group stage matches, it was Ninjas in Pyjamas, Luminosity Gaming, Fnatic, and G2 Esports left in the running. We saw tons of thrilling action over the course of the event, but in the end it was the Brazilian squad of Luminosity who raised the trophy.

Grand final
G2 Esports vs. Luminosity
Everything came down to the Europeans from G2 Esports and the Brazilians from Luminosity. The reigning Major champions were one of the favourites to take the tournament but G2 wowed everyone with their fantastic performance which was not necessarily expected. The final was a best of five and we saw all of the maps played out in what turned out to be one of the best series in competitive CS:GO.
