The ESL Pro League CS:GO in Asia-Pacific is in full swing, with APAC’s best teams currently competing for a spot on the world stage, at the global finals in Odense, Denmark. This week, we have some exciting news for the region, as the APAC playoffs expand to include a slot for India, and China gains another slot at playoffs.
*NEW* India Region - 13th & 14th October
The winner of the ESL India Premiership Fall Finals, held across the 13th & 14th of October in Hyderabad, India, will move on to advance to the ASIA playoff of ESL Pro League CS:GO. Newly formed, OpTic India topped the standings after an online season of round-robin that concluded on the 21st of September, with an unbeatable run of 11-0 at the end of the season.
*MODIFIED* China Region - September 25-27 & October 17-18
8 teams (6 invited, 2 qualified) > double elimination BO3 bracket > 2 teams (up from 1) advance to ASIA Playoff
ANZ Region - October 24 - November 1
8 teams (6 invited, 2 qualified) > double elimination BO3 bracket > 1 team advances to Global Finals
SEA Region - October 8-11 & October 16
8 teams (6 invited, 2 qualified) > double elimination BO3 bracket > 1 team advances to ASIA Playoff
ASIA Online Playoff (Date To Be Announced)
4 teams (qualified through SEA, China, and India Regions) > 1 team advances to Global Finals.
This change will see the ASIA online playoffs, on October 23, increase to a 4-team, single elimination Best of 3 format, with the winner advancing to the Global Finals in Odense, Denmark.
