Red Bull becomes the official energy drink of ESL and extends partnership

ESL and Red Bull are pleased to announce entering a long-term global partnership, thus making Red Bull the official energy drink of ESL. We are excited to continue our successful jointly work on a number of future esports events, such as the ESL One tournament series, ESL CS:GO Pro League and ESL National Championships.

Extending back to 2012, the duo have worked together on multiple projects, including not only huge flagship events, but also various local activations. Additionally, ESL and Red Bull have hosted the Red Bull Wings Academy and Red Bull Gaming Grounds multiple times in conjunction with one another.

The first major events under the new cooperation like ESL One Frankfurt and ESL One Cologne have already shown the potential of the global partnership. ESL One Frankfurt featured the Bulls Corner – an exclusive location in the premium seating area in which several members of the audience enjoyed the tournament from the best seats in the whole stadium for a truly unique experience.

Furthermore, Red Bull is supporting professional players and esports fans from around the world directly in our various global ESL studios, by providing refreshments and energy to teams and supporters. As such, Red Bull has been part of countless esports tournaments in the ESL studios, ranging from local competitions to large scale international tournaments.

“Going forward, Red Bull will be present at all major ESL events – including all ESL One and ESL CS:GO Pro League stops,” said Ralf Reichert, CEO at ESL. “We have worked with Red Bull on numerous projects for over four years now. Still, it feels like we’re just getting started. We are thrilled to manifest this in a global partnership, with a brand which is truly committed to actively shape the growth of esports together with ESL.”

The next major stop for both ESL and Red Bull will be in Brooklyn, U.S.A. for the internationally acclaimed ESL One New York event. A US$250,000 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament will play out in the Barclay’s Arena, alongside an open US$75,000 Street Fighter V competition.
