Last week, the top PC teams in the ESL Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Pro League from both Europe and North America battled it out for a spot at the Season 1 Finals and a share of the US$50,000 prize pool. Over the weekend at PAX East, eXcellence Gaming took the title of Xbox One Rainbow Six champions, but Season 1 is not over yet. After a day of Rainbow Six action, streamed live from Cologne, Germany on Saturday, May 7, the PC victors will be crowned! Here’s a look at what happened on the last Day of Play for the PC Rainbow Six Pro League and the four teams that are headed to the Finals.
EUROPE
PENTA Sports, the European PC Rainbow Six Season 1 frontrunners, went up against GiFu and AERA eSprt Black, who were close behind in second and third place, respectively. PENTA Sports swept AERA eSPort Black 2-0 and GiFu performed just as well against Epsilon eSports R6, leaving the top two teams in the same relative place in the standings. Later in the night, PENTA Sports and GiFu battled each other, each taking one map, ending the series in a 1-1 draw and securing their spots in the Season 1 Finals. Which of these closely matched teams will come out on top?

Season 1 NA frontrunners OrbitGG ended their match against Mythic eSports 1-1, presenting the two teams as evenly matched and hinting at a seat in the Finals for Mythic. VwS Pro, however, dominated their match against Recorded Reported, winning 2-1, and later won a map against Velocity eSports, leaving them with 13 Pro League points, just behind OrbitGG, who ended the night in the top spot with 14 points. OrbitGG and VwS Pro are headed to Germany to represent North America in the PC Rainbow Six Season 1 Finals!
