We are excited to announce that League of Legends will remain a part of the ESL National Championships across Europe for 2019. Emerging players and teams will have a platform to develop at a local level within a proven competitive structure, while fans will get a chance to discover and follow their country’s rising stars.
Players and fans in Belgium, Czech & Slovak Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Southeast Europe, Switzerland and The Netherlands can look forward to epic playdays and event finals where their own local communities will be the star of the show. Domestic rosters filled with promising challengers will each battle it out on Summoner's Rift, with local casters narrating their journey every step of the way.
“We want to provide an ideal environment for players and teams to cut their teeth in esports,” said Head of ESL National Championships Ana Oliveras. “Our proven record in professional gaming at all levels guarantees we can assist in their development as well as provide new levels of exposure. Year after year, ESL National Championships have proven to be a stepping stone for some of the best players and teams before making the jump into the biggest leagues and events worldwide. League of Legends is an important part of this legacy and we want to continue adding chapters to that story.”
