OpTic Gaming continues to dominate in week seven of the North American Call of Duty World League

In Week 7 of the Call of Duty World League Pro Division in North America, OpTic Gaming continued their strong performance by taking their first match of the week 3-1 against Team eLevate. eLevate has been slowly climbing up the standings in the last couple of weeks but were unable to stop OpTic. Second place Team EnVyUs went all the way to a game five on day one against compLexity, but EnVyUs was able to push through and secure the win for that matchup.

On Day two, FaZe Clan went head to head with Team EnVyUs in a matchup that many fans expected to be a close one. But FaZe had an incredible performance and stormed through EnVyUs to win the series 3-0. FaZe was able to take fourth place this week, but despite the loss EnVyUs was able to retain their second place spot. Team Kaliber was also able to snap their losing streak and take a series 3-2 against H2K on day two. That win for Team Kaliber helped them edge them up and over Dream Team in the standings.

Match of the week

This week’s match of the week was OpTic Gaming vs. Rise Nation. Caster Matt “Mr X” Morello stated that there are “many questions around this match” wondering “if Rise could possibly be the better team at this point.” Rise Nation has been on an incredible run these past few weeks following their UMG Carolina win. That was not the case, however, as OpTic Gaming came out strong and continued to prove that they are the number one team, winning the series 3-0 against Rise. The series went by fast, as OpTic Gaming steamrolled the Search and Destroy match 6-0.

MVP

Matt “Mr X” Morello picks OpTic Gaming’s Karma as this week’s MVP with his strong performance on both nights to keep OpTic in first place.

Coming up

As we head into week eight, the match to look out for is OpTic Gaming vs. Team EnVyUs. This matchup is the first place team going head to head against the second place team. Although a loss for OpTic will not effect their first place standing because of their current win count, a win from Team EnVyUs might help stop OpTic's momentum.
